Seattle Dog Daycare Association
Founded in 2005, the Seattle Dog Daycare Association (SDDA) is a group of professional dog daycare providers in the Greater Seattle area whose mission is to educate and unify the local dog daycare community. Our goal is:
- To create a formal support network dedicated to providing the highest standard of care for dogs
- To share and define best practices and learn from our collective experience in this industry
- To collaborate on the development of local governmental standards and to promote awareness of our services to local government agencies
- To collectively promote philanthropic endeavors that benefit canines in our community
Active members meet approximately four times per year. Our quarterly meetings will be focused around achieving our mission, and will be
accomplished through:
- Education: Having guest speakers who are experts in their field share their knowledge with the group (ie: veterinarians, animal behaviorists, workplace safety advocates, etc).
- Philanthropy: Creating and coordinating charitable events and activities (ie: food and toy drives, adoption events, fundraisers, etc.)
- Collaboration: Having dedicated time at each meeting to network, share ideas, and develop standards (ie: emergency plans, best practices, challenges, respond to local agencies inquiries, etc.)
The following requirements must be met in order to be considered for membership:
- You must have a working dog daycare facility
- You must have a valid business license
- Your business must be located in the Greater Seattle metropolitan area
Annual membership dues are $100. For more information on membership, please contact us at: info@seattledogdaycares.org
